MTV Tr3s recently had the opportunity to interview Cam Gigandet about “Twilight” and a few other things.
About Twilight
First, the actor talked about his very first [busy, extravagant and wild] week on the set of “Twilight.”
They filmed their scenes in the ballet studio — which was an entire studio indoors — and he said that it was surreal for him because of all the things they did, because everything was on such a large scale (stunts, huge wirework, …), and all these made him realize how big, how special, and how amazing the movie is gonna be.
Then he spoke about his most challenging stunt — the wirework — but it was not really challenging because it was so well choreographed and planned that he could just stand there and the wirework took him everywhere he wanted to go. The magic carpet was also an amazing scene to film. Everything was so technologically advanced that it made his job easier, which was good.
Finally, it would have been a surprise if the reporter didn’t ask THE question about Cam gigandet always playing the bad guy. The actor answered that he has played bad guys a lot in his career and that it is more fun for an actor because the bad guy has more freedom than the good guy who follows the rules.
